RESILIENCE TRAINING FOR LEADERS AND MANAGERS IN HAMBURG

What's the one thing even the most successful leaders struggle with?
Connecting to their feelings.

What's the cost? Decisions. Relationships. Performance. Burnout. Disengagement. A culture of blame. Victim mentality. Negativity.

When it comes to feelings, I'm not talking about the dramatic, tearful kind. Just the everyday stuff: frustration in a meeting, anxiety before a big decision, the low-grade irritation that builds over weeks. Most high-functioning people have learned to work around these signals. This works, until it doesn't.

WHY RESILIENCE TRAINING MATTERS

What gets avoided, pushed down, or not fully register tends to show up elsewhere: in decision-making, in communication, in stress levels, and in the way we relate to others at work.

This isn't about becoming more emotional. It's about becoming more accurate with yourself and with others. Leaders who can read their internal landscape make clearer calls, set better boundaries, and create teams that function without the constant low-level drama that drains productivity.

This workshop focusses on making that connection clearer and more workable. The aim is not to "feel better" in the short term, but to understand what it means to "feel well". This translates into more grounded, effective functioning over time.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP COVERS

Drawing on 20 years of psychology practice across Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and Scotland, this workshop cuts through the corporate wellness noise. No toxic positivity. No "just breathe" advice. Just a realistic framework for how people actually function.

Theme 1: What Feelings Are and Why We Need Them

Feelings aren't obstacles to good decision-making. They're data. This session covers what feelings actually do (biologically, psychologically, socially), and why ignoring them creates more problems than it solves.

Theme 2: How We Avoid Feelings (and What It Costs)

Avoidance sometimes looks like productivity. Overworking, overthinking, over-explaining. We'll look at the common patterns high-performers use to sidestep discomfort, and how that avoidance shows up as stress, conflict, or burnout down the line.

Theme 3: The Bodily Process of Feeling (Feeling Well vs. Feeling Good)

"Feeling good" is temporary and is dependent on circumstances, external validation, things going your way.

"Feeling well" is different. It's the capacity to move through difficult emotions without getting hijacked by them. Participants learn to recognise feelings in the body and work with them, not against them.

Theme 4: Working with Stress, Overwhelm and Burnout

These labels often obscure more than they clarify, and get labelled as personal failures. We'll look at stress and overwhelm as functional responses to specific conditions, not character flaws) We look at practical strategies for working with each, without the "self-care" platitudes.
